Appointments

Consultations are by appointment and are available over a range of times within our opening hours. You may see the practitioner of your choice: please ask when booking your appointment.

Appointment Times

We offer the opportunity to pre-book appointments up to 4 weeks in advance.

If you need a same day appointment the receptionist will take your details and one of our specially trained nurses will call you back as soon as possible. Sometimes problems can be dealt with entirely by phone. Anyone who needs same day appointments is invited to attend an open surgery - a ‘sit and wait’ session at the end of morning surgery. When demand is high, for example after a bank holiday or during outbreaks of flu-like illnesses the waiting time may be quite long.

A small number of pre-bookable routine appointments are available from 6.30—7.30 on Tuesday evenings.

Telephone advice & messages

We offer the opportunity to book telephone consultations if you feel that this may be appropriate. If you need to leave a message for a clinician the Receptionist will happily take the details for you and pass it on. Please be mindful that the clinical team are often with other patients and may only be able to get back to you at the end of surgery.

Cancelling an appointment

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact the surgery (01954 282153) as soon as possible. This enables us to offer the appointment to someone else who needs it. Each month up to 100 patients fail to cancel their appointments, this means that we are unable to offer the appointment to someone else.
